In previous summers, I've been all about spending hour upon hour at my desk, working up new lesson plans, previewing music, learning the choreography for the Christmas musical...it was easy to spend at least an eight hour day poring over all things musical.
This summer...not so much. I've barely touched school things, preferring to work on finding new recipes and being domestic. Not that I was a slob before and not that I didn't cook for my family - it's just that I'm finding a renewed zeal in all things domestic.
I love cooking blogs and recipe sites! Just reading through other people's adventures in the kitchen could take up vast portions of time and don't even get me started on the recipe sites! "My favorites" on the allrecipe site is becoming increasingly filled with cyber-filecards listing all kinds of yummy dishes I want to try.
To heck with summer, I may have to quit my job, just to have more time for scouring coooking sites online.

Yes - this is me too! How about we both quit our jobs, buy an exorbitantly expensive condo with a huge kitchen in NYC (because of the access to great food stores and farmers markets) and then just spend all our time browsing recipes and cooking.
ReplyDeletesign me up - I like that plan!
